Steven Spiegel
Steven is a partner emeritus and has been a part of Aquiline since its launch in 2005. Prior to joining the firm, he was director of corporate development at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc., where he was responsible for the development of MMC’s alternative investments business. Previously, he served as vice chairman of Putnam Investments, chairman of PanAgora Asset Management, and director of Mercer Management Consulting and Nippon Life Asset Management Company. In addition, he oversaw Putnam’s Thomas H. Lee Co. partnership. Before joining Putnam, Steven was a partner of Lehman Brothers, Inc., where he held numerous positions, including president of Lehman’s financial services division.
In keeping with his commitment to volunteer service and nonprofit board leadership, he also serves as a director of f.a.c.e.s. (Fight Against Childhood Epilepsy and Seizures).
